The Roxbury Cultural District’s Gala event and Community Celebration was held on May 18th and 19th, 2018 at the Bruce Bolling Building. Visitors enjoyed the wonderful jazz of the Donna McElroy Quartet and couldn’t stop dancing to the music of Lawrence Watson and the Workforce! Silent Auction items were provided by Ekua Holmes, Napoleon Jones-Henderson, Deta Galloway, Maddu Huacuja, Kofi Kayiga, Hakim Raquib and Daniel Callahan, to name a few. Citations to honor the first anniversary were received from Representative Chyna Tyler, Mayor Martin Walsh and District City Councilor Kim Janey.
