On October 26th, 2022, Andrew Brinker, Boston Globe Correspondent, shared six key takeaways from The Boston Foundation’s Greater Housing Report Card Forum that occurred this Wednesday. Leslie Reid, MPDC’s CEO, was present at the event to represent the Roxbury community of Boston and, furthermore, to advocate for addressing housing disparities in areas across the city that need the most recognition. The Boston Globe reports the following information from the Housing Report Card Forum:

1.) Home prices have reached unprecedented heights, and not just at the high end

2.) Boston has some of the highest rents in the nation

3.) Housing inequality has deepened significantly

4.) Income and housing cost change by income households, 2010-2020

5.) Housing production is up, but still well below where we need to be

6) The wealthy suburbs lag behind on housing affordability efforts
