On May 1st, 2022, Banker and Tradesman sat down with former MPDC staff member, Brooke Woodson, for an interview regarding Woodson’s awareness efforts for platforming trades education throughout the city of Boston. Woodson was the VP of Progress for MPDC but he is now Suffolk’s National Director of Trade Partner Diversity. At Suffolk, Woodson is dedicated to preparing and connecting Black and women-owned contractors to major projects throughout the U.S. Throughout the interview, he discusses his history with Madison Park, the effects of the new diversity requirements by the city of Boston’s and Massachusetts’ agencies for public parcels, and the success of the Build With Us @ Suffolk program.
