Boston’s election season is in full swing and local residents are more informed than ever before thanks to The RoxVote Coalition’s Annual Cookout with Candidates event held in Roxbury earlier this month.  Residents engaged with six of the eight candidates running for Boston City Council at-large seats as well as four of the 13 candidates running for District 7 City Council.  Our community enjoyed great food and networked with neighbors during the event.  Notable guests included Charlotte Golar Ritchie (former Boston Mayoral Candidate) and Mel Poindexter (Massachusetts Democratic National Committee Chair).

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing board members Dion Irish (City of Boston Election Commissioner) and Lisa Morishanti (a founding member of RoxVote) who came out to support the event along with our incredible team of staff and local business owner, Allah (Everything is Real Barbershop), who worked the grill!
