Hibernian Hall is the center for multi-cultural arts in the heart of Bo
ston. It's the cultural economic development program of MPDC, and it is how MPDC nurtures Roxbury's arts and culture renaissance. Our historic ballroom is available for rent and as a resource for community building. For over 12 years MPDC has supported artists, particularly artists of color, by helping to increase their visibility, expand audiences for their works, and promote their financial independence.
Hibernian Hall also organizes educational programs and events such as master classes in dance and theater, and Friday Flix, a monthly film screening series. We are involved in three programs:
Become a Friend of Hibernian Hall today. A donation of $50 to MPDC earns you the priviledge of membership. Members receive 10% off all Hibernian Hall performance tickets and venue rental fees, as well as invitations to special Friends only events.

Spoken Word at Hibernian Hall
VerBaLizAtiOn, Boston's longest running recurring spoken word event takes place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m at RCAHH. VerBaLizAtiOn is an open gathering of spoken-word artists and enthusiasts coordinated by Vernon “VCR” Robinson of BloodSkinLand Productions.
As a free venue for sharing urban insight and expression, VerBaLizAtiOn welcomes new talent of any age and level of experience, although VCR invites an accomplished poet as a special feature to perform at each session. For more details contact VCR at bloodskinland@yahoo.com.
