MassQ Ball 2017: Convergence

Imagine an art event where instead of looking at objects on walls we look at each other; where instead of going to see art, we become it; where people can convene, converge and celebrate what makes us both unique and unified.

This is the inspiration behind MassQuerade Ball 2017: Convergence, an inter-generational, cross-cultural exhibition of the arts taking place April 29, 2017. Join us in honoring the diverse artistic expressions of Boston’s communities of color in a shared appreciation for arts, culture, and our collective humanity.

Held at Hibernian Hall, Convergence will feature the artistic process of transmedia artist Daniel Callahan called MassQing (Year of the MassQ), in which the face is used as a canvas to create art that expresses internal and emotional aspects of the bearer. In collaboration with Castle of our Skins, this event will also feature live music, fashion, dance, spoken word, performance, delicious food from various cultures, and it will culminate in a dance party.

MassQuerade Ball 2017: Convergence. An inter-generational, cross-cultural exhibition of the arts taking place April 30, 2017, from 6:30-10pm. Live MassQing at 6:30PM, performances beginning at 8:00PM, PLUS ethnic food, cash bar, and a DJ dance party.
