June 25: On June 25th MPDC hosted a free family-friendly community cookout to kick off a series of celebratory events to mark 45 years of Building Community and Celebrating Culture.  More than 200 neighborhood residents gathered to celebrate the community’s historic accomplishments and recognize more than a dozen resident leaders who are working for positive change.  Click here to see pictures and footage from the event.

October 19: “We Saved a Community”– Over 70 Community memebers joined us to share and hear stories from Roxbury residents who remembered or were part of the 1960’s community activism that fought urban renewal, stopped the I-95 highway, helped found Madison Park Development Corporation, and Saved Our Community. The evening featured an art exhibit of works created by Roxbury youth.

November 4: 1960’s themed Gala Party with awards program and silent auction, preceded by VIP Reception for Encore, Standing Ovation and Bravo sponsors at Next Street Financial.
